Channing Pollock (1880-1946) est un dramaturge, journaliste et critique dramatique américain. Né à Washington, D.C., il commence sa carrière en 1896 comme critique dramatique au Washington Post. Il écrit plus de trente pièces, dont son plus grand succès commercial, The Fool (1922), qui tient l'affiche plus d'un an à Broadway et donne lieu à six tournées. Il collabore avec Avery Hopwood sur Clothes (1906) et écrit les paroles anglaises de « My Man », chanson signature de Fanny Brice. Il contribue également aux Ziegfeld Follies de 1915 et 1921. Pollock publie son autobiographie, Harvest of My Years, en 1943, et un mémoire théâtral, The Footlights, Fore and Aft, en 1911.
