John Green is an American author of young adult novels, born in Indianapolis in 1977. After graduating from Kenyon College in 2000, he worked as a publishing assistant before publishing his debut novel, Looking for Alaska, in 2005, which won the Printz Award. His subsequent works, including The Fault in Our Stars (2012), achieved international success, with over 45 million copies sold and film adaptations. He is also known for his online activities, including the YouTube channel Vlogbrothers and the podcast The Anthropocene Reviewed.
