Jeremy Clarkson, born 11 April 1960 in Doncaster, is a major figure in British television. Trained as a journalist at the Rotherham Advertiser, he co-founded the Motoring Press Agency in 1984. He rose to prominence as a presenter of the BBC motoring programme Top Gear, which he joined in 1988 and whose globally successful relaunch he co-hosted in 2002 alongside Richard Hammond and James May. The show won an International Emmy in 2005. After leaving the BBC in 2015, he co-presented The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime Video (2016-2024) and hosts Clarkson's Farm (2021-present). A prolific author, he writes weekly columns for The Sunday Times and The Sun, and has published numerous books, including the The World According to Clarkson series.
