About
Anke Engelke, born on 21 December 1965 in Montreal, grew up in Cologne. She started on children's radio in 1978 and became known with the satirical sketch show Die Wochenshow (1996-2000). Creator and star of Ladykracher (2002-2013), she is also the German voice of Marge Simpson and Dory. She has received several Grimme Awards, including a special honor in 2022, and hosted the European Film Awards and Eurovision 2011. As an ambassador for medical aid organization action medeor, she also taught television dramaturgy in Cologne.
