About

Albert Einstein was a theoretical physicist born in Ulm in 1879. In 1905, he published four groundbreaking papers that transformed physics: special relativity, the photoelectric effect, Brownian motion, and mass-energy equivalence (E=mc²). In 1915, he completed general relativity, a new theory of gravitation. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect. Fleeing Nazi Germany, he emigrated to the United States in 1933 and taught at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. He died in 1955.
