About

Hilary Hinton "Zig" Ziglar was born on November 6, 1926, in Coffee County, Alabama. After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II, he began his career as a salesman for WearEver Cookware and taught at the Dale Carnegie Institute. In 1970, he became a full-time motivational speaker and founded the Zigmanship Institute (later Ziglar, Inc.) in 1977. Author of over 30 books, including "See You at the Top" (over 1.7 million copies sold), "Secrets of Closing the Sale," and "Born to Win," his works have been translated into more than 38 languages. He received the National Speakers Association Cavett Award and the Master of Influence Award, and was honored three times in the U.S. Congressional Record.
