Will Ferrell, born John William Ferrell on July 16, 1967, in Irvine, California, graduated from the University of Southern California in 1990. He trained at the Groundlings improvisational theater before joining the cast of Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2002, where he became known for his impressions of George W. Bush, Alex Trebek, and Harry Caray. He rose to fame in films such as Elf (2003), Anchorman (2004), Talladega Nights (2006), and Step Brothers (2008). He co-founded the comedy website Funny or Die and the production company Gary Sanchez Productions. He made his Broadway debut in 2009 and received the Mark Twain Prize in 2011. He has been married to Viveca Paulin since 2000 and has three sons.
