Valérie Trierweiler is a French journalist and author born on February 16, 1965, in Angers. After studying history and political science at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, she joined Paris Match in 1989 as a reporter and political correspondent, where she remained for over 30 years. She also hosted political talk shows on Direct 8. As the partner of President François Hollande, she served as First Lady of France from May 2012 to January 2014. She published the bestselling memoir Merci pour ce moment in 2014, followed by the novel Le secret d'Adèle in 2017. She left Paris Match in 2020.
