Valérie Lemercier, born March 9, 1964, in Dieppe, is a major figure in French cinema and stage. Trained at the Conservatoire de Rouen, she began on television in 1988 with the series Palace. She excelled in comedies like Les Visiteurs and as a director with films such as Palais royal! and Aline. Awarded three Césars, she is also known for her one-woman shows, which earned her three Molières. She also released a music album and presided over the César ceremony in 2024.
