About
Suman Pokhrel is a prolific Nepalese writer, recognized for his poetry, plays, and translations. Born in Biratnagar, he studied at Tribhuvan University, earning degrees in science, commerce, economics, and law. After a career in civil service and development, he has devoted himself to creative work since 2010. His collection 'Jeevanko Chheubaata' won the Jayendra Best Book of the Year award. He is the only writer to have received the SAARC Literary Award twice (2013 and 2015). His works explore existential themes and have been translated into more than a dozen languages.
