Robert Habeck, born September 2, 1969 in Lübeck, is a German politician and member of Alliance 90/The Greens. After a doctorate in philosophy (2000), he worked as a freelance writer with his wife Andrea Paluch. He joined the party in 2002 and held ministerial offices in Schleswig-Holstein (2012-2018), then co-chaired the federal party (2018-2022). In 2021, he became Vice-Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. He is also the author of several political essays.
