Richard Bohringer, born January 16, 1942 in Moulins, is a French-Senegalese actor, writer, singer and director. He began his career in theater in the late 1960s and in film in 1970. Revealed by Diva (1981), he won the César for Best Supporting Actor for L'Addition (1985) and Best Actor for Le Grand Chemin (1988). In parallel, he published novels such as C'est beau une ville la nuit (1988) and recorded albums of poetry set to music. He is the father of actresses Romane and Lou Bohringer.
