About
Rem Koolhaas is an internationally renowned Dutch architect, born in Rotterdam in 1944. After starting his career in journalism, he studied architecture in London and the United States. In 1975, he co-founded the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA). His book 'Delirious New York' (1978) established him as a theorist even before his first buildings. Major works include the Kunsthal in Rotterdam, Maison à Bordeaux, Seattle Central Library, and CCTV Headquarters in Beijing. Winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2000, he has also taught at Harvard and directed the Venice Architecture Biennale in 2014.
