Radosław Sikorski is a Polish politician and diplomat. Born in Bydgoszcz in 1963, he studied at the University of Oxford. A war correspondent in Afghanistan and Angola in the 1980s, he won the World Press Photo award in 1987. He served as Minister of National Defence (2005-2007), Minister of Foreign Affairs (2007-2014), and Marshal of the Sejm (2014-2015). A Member of the European Parliament from 2019 to 2023, he became Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2023. He is the author of several books on Poland and foreign policy.
