About
Pascal Quignard is a French writer born on April 23, 1948, in Verneuil-sur-Avre. Author of more than seventy books, he blends novels, essays, and treatises. He taught at the University of Vincennes and the École pratique des hautes études. A passionate musician, he co-founded the International Festival of Baroque Opera and Theatre in Versailles. His novel 'Tous les matins du monde' (1991) was adapted into film. He received the Prix Goncourt in 2002 for 'Les Ombres errantes', the first non-fiction work to win this prize. Since 2002, he has been pursuing the cycle 'Dernier Royaume', a fragmentary work mixing essay, tale, and poem.
