About
Paolo Sorrentino is an Italian filmmaker born in Naples in 1970. After university studies, he turned to cinema at 25. His debut feature, One Man Up (2001), premiered in Venice. He won the Jury Prize at Cannes for Il Divo (2008) and the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film for The Great Beauty (2013). He also created the series The Young Pope and The New Pope, and published the novel Everybody's Right.
