Oliver Hardy, born Norvell Hardy in Georgia, began his film career in 1914. He appeared in over 200 short films before forming a legendary duo with Stan Laurel in 1927. Together, they created classic comedies such as 'The Music Box' (1932), which won an Oscar. Hardy also acted in silent films, including 'The Wizard of Oz' (1925).
