About
Nido Qubein was born in Jordan in 1948 and immigrated to the United States in 1966. A graduate of High Point University (1970) and holding a master's degree from UNC Greensboro (1973), he became president of High Point University in 2005, where he oversaw significant growth in enrollment and campus. In parallel, he is executive chairman of Great Harvest Bread Company and serves on corporate boards. Author of numerous books and training programs, he has received several honors, including the Horatio Alger Award and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He also hosts an interview series on PBS.
