Nadine Trintignant, born Lucienne Marquand in Nice in 1934, is a French film director, screenwriter, and novelist. She began her career in cinema at age 15 as a film lab assistant, then worked as an editor on major films such as Du rififi chez les hommes (1955) and Léon Morin, prêtre (1961). Her first feature film, Mon amour, mon amour (1967), was selected for the Cannes Film Festival. She directed notable films including Ça n'arrive qu'aux autres (1971) starring Catherine Deneuve and Marcello Mastroianni. A committed activist, she signed the Manifeste des 343 in 1971. She is the sister of actors Christian and Serge Marquand, and was married to Jean-Louis Trintignant.
