Mylène Farmer, born Mylène Jeanne Gautier on September 12, 1961, in Pierrefonds, Quebec, is a French-Canadian singer-songwriter. She began her career in 1984 with the single 'Maman a tort', produced by Laurent Boutonnat. She is the best-selling French-speaking female artist of all time, with over 30 million records sold worldwide. She holds the record for the most number-one singles in France (21) and is the only artist to have a diamond-certified album in four consecutive decades. Her hit 'Désenchantée' (1991) is among the best-selling French singles ever. She also wrote for Alizée, including the international hit 'Moi... Lolita', and acted in films such as Giorgino (1994) and Ghostland (2018).
