About
Louis C.K., born Louis Alfred Székely in Washington, D.C., grew up in Mexico City and Newton, Massachusetts. He started stand-up in Boston at 17 and moved to New York in 1989. Creator of the FX series Louie (2010-2015), he is praised for his introspective humor and innovative direct-to-fan distribution. He has won six Primetime Emmy Awards and three Grammy Awards. In 2017, he admitted to sexual misconduct, leading to professional fallout. He made a comeback with self-released specials and published a novel, Ingram.
