Leonard Nimoy, born March 26, 1931 in Boston and died February 27, 2015 in Los Angeles, was an American actor, director, writer, and photographer. He is best known for his role as Mr. Spock in the original Star Trek series (1966-1969), the franchise's films, and J.J. Abrams' reboots. He also directed two Star Trek films and the comedy Three Men and a Baby. Beyond Star Trek, he appeared in Mission: Impossible and hosted the documentary series In Search of... He published autobiographies, poetry collections, and photography books, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
