Larry David, born July 2, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York, is an American comedian, writer and actor. Graduating in history from the University of Maryland in 1970, he rose to fame as co-creator, head writer and executive producer of Seinfeld (1989-1998), which earned him two Emmy Awards in 1993. He then created Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000-2024), in which he plays a semi-fictionalized version of himself, a series that won a Golden Globe in 2003. He made his Broadway debut in 2015 with his play Fish in the Dark and has impersonated Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live since 2015.
