Kseniya Sobchak, born in 1981 in Leningrad, is a Russian media and political figure. Daughter of Anatoly Sobchak, the first elected mayor of St. Petersburg, she became famous in 2004 as the host of the reality show Dom-2. She became involved in the opposition during the 2011-2012 protests and ran in the 2018 presidential election, receiving about 1.7% of the vote. She has also edited magazines and hosted programs on the independent channel Dozhd. In 2022, she received Israeli citizenship and temporarily left Russia.
