About
Giulio Angioni (1939-2017) was an Italian writer and anthropologist born in Guasila, Sardinia. He was a professor of cultural anthropology at the University of Cagliari and a student of Ernesto de Martino and Alberto Mario Cirese. His anthropological work focuses on labor, embodied knowledge, and the agro-pastoral world of Sardinia. As a novelist, he is considered one of the initiators of the 'Sardinian literary spring'. His novel 'Le fiamme di Toledo' won the Mondello Prize in 2006.
