About
Gilbert Gottfried, born in Brooklyn in 1955, became known for his loud, raspy voice and squinting delivery. A cast member of Saturday Night Live in 1980-1981, he voiced Iago in Aladdin (1992) and the AFLAC duck. He hosted USA Up All Night and was a frequent guest on The Howard Stern Show. His rendition of 'The Aristocrats' joke at a 2001 roast became famous. He died in 2022 in Manhattan.
