About
Gianluca Vialli (1964-2023) was an Italian striker born in Cremona. He made history at Sampdoria, winning the club's only scudetto in 1991, then at Juventus, leading them to the Champions League in 1996. He also excelled at Chelsea, becoming the first Italian to manage a Premier League club. With the national team, he played in two World Cups and Euro 1988. After his playing career, he served as head of delegation for the Azzurri, contributing to the Euro 2020 victory. He died of pancreatic cancer in 2023.
