Georges Wolinski, born June 28, 1934 in Tunis and died January 7, 2015 in Paris, was a French press cartoonist and comic book author. Arriving in France in 1945, he began his career in press drawing in 1960 with the satirical magazine Hara-Kiri. He co-founded L'Enragé in 1968 and took part in the creation of Charlie Hebdo in 1970, serving as editor-in-chief until 1981. He contributed to numerous publications, including Libération and Le Nouvel Observateur, and published about 80 albums, blending humor, satire, and eroticism. He received the Grand Prix de la ville d'Angoulême in 2005. He was killed during the attack on Charlie Hebdo in 2015.
