George Harrison, born on 25 February 1943 in Liverpool, was the lead guitarist of the Beatles. He introduced Indian classical music and the sitar to Western pop, studying with Ravi Shankar. A songwriter of songs like 'Something' and 'Here Comes the Sun', he released the solo album All Things Must Pass (1970) and organized the Concert for Bangladesh (1971). He formed the Traveling Wilburys and co-founded Handmade Films. He died in Los Angeles on 29 November 2001.
