About
Frank Miller is an American comic book author born in 1957 in Maryland. He began his career at Marvel in 1979 on Daredevil, where he created the character Elektra. He gained fame with Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (1986), which redefined the superhero genre with a darker tone. He then wrote Batman: Year One (1987) and created the noir series Sin City (1991-2000), known for its stark black-and-white art, as well as 300 (1998). He co-directed the film adaptation of Sin City in 2005. A multiple Eisner and Harvey Award winner, he was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2015. In 2022, he founded his own publishing company, Frank Miller Presents.
