About

Foster C. McClellan is a very poorly documented figure, primarily known for a motivational quote attributed to him: 'Trust yourself...'. This quote was circulated in the SBANC newsletter of the University of Central Arkansas in 2010. Research has not confirmed that he was a published author or public figure. Genealogical records indicate he was born in 1918 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and died in 1998 in Kansas City, Missouri. Another quote about education was misattributed to him, but it actually originated with Robert Maynard Hutchins.
