Eric Bana, born Eric Martin Andrew Banadinović on 9 August 1968 in Melbourne, is an Australian actor. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in 1991 and gained recognition in the sketch comedy series Full Frontal. His dramatic role in Chopper (2000) earned him the AFI Award for Best Actor. He achieved international fame with films such as Black Hawk Down (2001), Hulk (2003), Troy (2004), Munich (2005), and Star Trek (2009). He won a second AFI Award for Romulus, My Father (2007) and made his directorial debut with the documentary Love the Beast (2009). In 2019, he was appointed Member of the Order of Australia.
