About

Draga Mašin, née Draginja Lunjevica, was the wife of King Alexander I of Serbia. Born into a family linked to the Obrenović dynasty, she first married engineer Svetozar Mašin, then became a lady-in-waiting to Queen Natalija. Her marriage to the king in 1900, despite controversies, made her queen consort. She was assassinated with her husband during the 1903 coup, ending the Obrenović dynasty.
