About
Donna Tartt is an American novelist born on December 23, 1963, in Greenwood, Mississippi, and raised in Grenada. She studied at the University of Mississippi and then at Bennington College, where she befriended Bret Easton Ellis. Her debut novel, 'The Secret History' (1992), became an international bestseller. Her second novel, 'The Little Friend' (2002), won the WH Smith Literary Award. Her third novel, 'The Goldfinch' (2013), received the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2014. Her works have been translated into about thirty languages.
