Denis Waitley (1933-2025) was an American author and speaker, best known for his audio program 'The Psychology of Winning' (1978), which sold over two million copies. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in 1955, he served as a fighter pilot before working at the Salk Institute. He wrote 16 non-fiction books, including 'Seeds of Greatness' (1983) and 'Empires of the Mind' (1995). He chaired the psychology committee of the U.S. Olympic Committee's Sports Medicine Council and trained astronauts, returning POWs, and athletes. In 2007, his advanced degrees were questioned, with his Ph.D. coming from an unaccredited university.
