Claude Myron Bristol (1890-1951) was an American self-help author. A graduate of the University of Oregon Law School, he served as a correspondent for the Stars and Stripes newspaper during World War I. He worked nearly forty years as a journalist, then turned to investment banking before devoting himself to writing and lecturing. His best-known work, The Magic of Believing (1948), became a national bestseller and is associated with the New Thought movement. He also wrote T.N.T.: It Rocks the Earth (1932).
