Barry Bostwick is an American actor and singer born on February 24, 1945, in San Mateo, California. He made his Broadway debut in 1969 and gained recognition by originating the role of Danny Zuko in the musical Grease (1972), earning a Tony Award nomination. He won the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for The Robber Bridegroom (1977). In film, he played Brad Majors in the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). He is also known for his television roles, including Mayor Randall Winston on Spin City (1996-2002) and George Washington in two miniseries. He received a Golden Globe in 1989 for War and Remembrance.
