About
Aristotle (384-322 BCE) was an ancient Greek philosopher and scientist, a student of Plato and tutor to Alexander the Great. He founded his own school, the Lyceum, in Athens. His writings cover logic, metaphysics, ethics, politics, rhetoric, poetics, physics, and biology. He is regarded as the founder of formal logic and profoundly influenced Western thought and medieval philosophy.
