About
Aravind Adiga is an Indian-Australian writer and journalist. Born in Madras (now Chennai), he grew up in Mangalore before moving to Australia. A graduate of Columbia University and Oxford, he worked as a financial journalist for the Financial Times and as a correspondent for TIME magazine. He is best known for his debut novel, The White Tiger, which won the Booker Prize in 2008. His works explore social inequalities and life in contemporary India. He lives in Mumbai.
