Antony Blinken, born April 16, 1962, in Yonkers, New York, is an American senior official. A graduate of Harvard and Columbia Law School, he held several positions in the U.S. administration, including Deputy National Security Advisor to Vice President Joe Biden and Deputy Secretary of State under Barack Obama. Appointed Secretary of State by Joe Biden in 2021, he served until 2025, a period marked by the war in Ukraine and the conflict in Gaza. He is also the author of a book on the Siberian pipeline crisis.
