Antonio Tajani is an Italian politician, born on August 4, 1953, in Rome. He holds a law degree from Sapienza University of Rome and served as an officer in the Italian Air Force before becoming a professional journalist in 1980. A co-founder of Forza Italia, he was a Member of the European Parliament from 1994 to 2008, then European Commissioner for Transport (2008-2010) and Vice-President of the European Commission (2010-2014). Re-elected to the European Parliament in 2014, he became its President in January 2017, serving until 2019. In October 2022, he was appointed Vice-President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy.
