About
André Leducq, born in 1904 in Saint-Ouen and died in 1980 in Marseille, was one of the greatest French cyclists of the interwar period. Nicknamed 'Dédé', he won the Tour de France in 1930 and 1932, and totaled 25 stage victories in the Tour. World amateur champion in 1924, he also won Olympic gold in the team road race at the Paris Games the same year. He triumphed in Paris-Roubaix in 1928 and Paris-Tours in 1931. After his career, he founded and managed a professional team in the 1950s.
