Alice Weidel, born February 6, 1979 in Gütersloh, is a German politician. With a doctorate in economics (2011), she worked for Goldman Sachs and the Bank of China before joining the AfD in 2013. A member of the Bundestag since 2017, she has co-chaired the party since 2022. As chancellor candidate in 2025, she led her party to second place. She lives in Switzerland with her partner and their two adopted sons.
