Alexander Nevzorov, born in 1958 in Leningrad, is a Russian journalist and filmmaker. He rose to fame as the host of the daily TV program '600 Seconds' (1987-1993), which was highly popular in the USSR. As a war correspondent, he covered conflicts in Yugoslavia, Chechnya, and elsewhere. He served as a State Duma deputy from 1993 to 2007. A critic of the Kremlin, he was convicted in absentia in 2023 for denouncing Russian strikes in Ukraine. In exile, he obtained Ukrainian citizenship.
