About
Alan Moore, born November 18, 1953, in Northampton, is a British comic book writer and novelist. He began his career in the late 1970s in underground fanzines and the music magazine Sounds. He gained prominence with series such as V for Vendetta and Marvelman, then revolutionized American comics with Swamp Thing and Watchmen, often considered one of the greatest masterpieces of the medium. He has won numerous awards, including nine Eisner Awards. He has also written novels, including Voice of the Fire and Jerusalem, and still lives in Northampton.
